Chanel just launched it’s limited edition eyeshadow palette to commemorate it’s new boutique in Paris! Chanel Ombre Matelassees in 51 Montaigne is available now online and in stores. This lovely palette gets it’s name from the new boutique’s address and it features pearl, pale gold, gold, golden khaki and black tones. Each shadow is embossed with Chanel’s very own quilted pattern. How Chic!
Store your eye cream in the fridge for an extra pick me up in the morning.
For those with oily or combination skin, this is a must have! The texture is so light and refreshing; it’s like giving your skin a fresh drink of water. It’s been my go to moisturizer for over 5 years now!
A common mistake that people with oily skin make is that they dry out their skin with toners and acne fighters, and then forget to moisturize. Striping our skin of natural oils only makes our bodies want to produce more so it can find its natural balance.
Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is scent free and oil free. It is available in a 4.2 pump bottle and it is also available in 1.7 oz tube which is a perfect trial size! $14-$25
Always wipe your face and body in an upward motion. This can help prevent aging and sagging of the skin.
Spa Week is back just in time for spring! Spas and Salons nationwide have already started booking appointments. Spa Week runs from April 16th – April 22nd. During this week, spa treatments are only $50!
The most common services are facials and body massages. Spa week is offered twice a year and this past fall I chose to get a Murad facial at Massage Envy Spa in Verona, N.J. It was definitely worth it! This time around I’m looking for a Spa that is offering microdermabrasion for Spa Week. I will be booking it tomorrow, before they are all gone!
For a list of participating locations please visit spaweek.com, and remember always tip accordingly!
Yet another new color that I like from Essie! No More Film is a creamy deep violet that looks great with just one coat. It is the perfect 50/50 mix of blue and purple. In the sunlight, it looks purple, but in a dim lit room it looks like a dark blue.
The resort collection includes three other colors; pink-a-boo (a light sheer pink), she’s picture perfect (an iridescent lilac), and sure shot (a shiny magenta). Sure shot also caught my eye and I might color swatch and review it soon.
It has been said that Cleopatra was the ultimate beauty girl. In Ancient Egypt, cosmetics and beauty products were considered medicine and they were highly used. The Egyptians lined their eyes with kohl to ward off eye infections, not just because it was pretty!
Cleo enjoyed taking milk baths. Milk can do wonders for your skin because it contains Lactic Acid. Lactic Acid works by removing dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth and hydrated. This is the same chemical that can be found in Amlactin, a lotion made for extra dry skin and that helps sooth Keratosis Pilaris (KP).
Here’s a $3 off coupon!
So next time add some milk to your bath water. You can pour in as much as you’d like and once you’re done soaking, rinse off in the shower. I would suggest taking advantage of left over milk that has just passed the sell by date. Chances are it is still pretty good.
Quick Tip: Most of us will not drink milk that has passed the used by date, even by one day (me). An easy way to check for freshness is to pour some of the milk in a spoon and put the spoon over your oven burner. If the milk boils it is still fresh, if it curdles (like cottage cheese) it is sour. You can also put some in a small bowl and microwave it.

Essie Tour de Finance – Spring 2012 Collection
I just could not wait to review this gorgeous color! My nails are not even completely dry yet and I absolutely adore this polish color!
Tour de Finance by Essie is a super glossy cool magenta pink. It is slightly iridescent and very shiny. It’s perfect for spring. This color is similar to Essie’s Super Bossa Nova which launched last summer, but it’s a bit lighter.
Update: My manicure lasted almost a full week and the high gloss shine was still visible on day three. All in all, I think I will definitely go back to this color again through out the spring and summer!
