Maybelline’s New Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin gives your cheeks a pretty touch of color. It’s a powder to gel formula, so it feels like a gel with you touch it, but it’s lightweight on your cheeks like a powder. It glides on smoothly and it’s quick and easy to apply, just blend it in with your fingers. Not much staying power, but the buildable formula lets you apply as much or as little as you choose.

Peach Satin is a creamy coral pink shade. Perfect for the summer and will look great with your bronzer. or drugstores $7.99

This is my take on the Tangerine Tango Look. The teal color adds vibrancy and the mix of tangerine shades helps blend everything together.

I created this look using colors from NYX  Box of Eye Shadows and Sephora Makeup Palette.

Step 1: Prep your eyes with eye cream, then apply a primer onto your lids and under eye area.

Step 2: Apply Shade 1 to your browbone. Next apply Shade 2 by gently tapping the product onto your lid. Now apply Shade 3 to your crease. Concentrate the color at the outer corner of your eye and sweep the color in towards your nose. Blend in Shade 4 starting from the inner corner towards the center of your crease.

Step 3: Liner your eye with a black liquid or gel liner. I used Loreal Felt Tip Liner. Next line the first half of your lower lashes with Shade 2.  Finally line your lower lashes with Shade 5 from the center of your eye and bringing it under your eyeliner wing.  Blend and reapply color to your browbone  if needed. Finish with Mascara.

Lights, Camera, Action is the motto for this fabulous neon collection! Essie’s Lights is an electric pink neon. It is very bright and a perfect color for the neon trend. I think this is one of the prettiest shades in the collection, the bright pop of pink is very eye-catching. I got several compliments today.

My nail tech Jessica created the nail design with turquoise, yellow, and silver glitter  nail art polish.

The Poppy Razzi Collection also includes: Camera (coral pink), Action (light orange), and Bazooka (bright orange). I will review all the colors asap!

Skinny Girl Detox Face Mask

Skinny Girl Vitamin C Face Scrub

Vitamin C Face Scrub with Shea Butter and Cranberry

This sugar scrub is not bad. It’s pretty heavy-duty, so women with sensitive skin beware. It starts off really rough and then eventually melts down into its grapeseed and safflower oils. The scrub smells like cranberries and it actually has cranberry seeds in it. After using it as directed, my skin felt very smooth and supple. It’s a decent exfoliator, I would recommend to those with dry/normal skin.

Detox Face Mask with Cucumber & Sweet Almond Oil

Not a fan of this face mask. It is much thinner than other face masks. It does not compare to DDF Sulfur Therapeutic Mask. After using the Vitamin C Face Scrub, I applied this mask to my entire face and neck. It is so thin, that it looks like you have nothing on. Again, this is not for sensitive skin. I felt a burning, tingling sensation for the first few minutes. It was pretty intense but I was able to deal with it. I kept it one for 5 min and then I rinsed it off. I did not like the way my skin felt after rinsing it off. It felt like I still had the product on my face, it was probably the residue from the oils. I had to use a cleanse to get it off. Terrible.

Energizing Lip Shine with Caffeine & Peppermint

Nothing special here. The gloss isn’t very sticky and it’s flavored with peppermint.

Final Thoughts: The Skinny Girl Face Solutions Kit is too strong like their drinks.

Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15 gives your lips a sheer rosy hint of color and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 is a sheer balm that adds a bit of shine.

They are both formulated with sugar and grapeseed oil. Sugar is a natural humectant and helps your lips retain it’s moisture. The grapeseed oil smooths and softens your lips, and the added SPF 15 protects your lips.

I like these, The color is very sheer and I love the scent.

This palette features six classic Bobbi Brown nude shades that are made to compliment any skin tone. These eye shadows help you achieve that “no makeup” look. These shades almost look invisible on my eyelids.

The palette includes:
> 2 Eye Shadows in Chino (matte light cool beige) and Stone (matte neutral grey brown)
> 3 Shimmer Wash Eye Shadows in Praline (nude with golden pearl), Champagne Truffle (warm pink beige), and Cocoa Berry (rich brown plum)
> 1 Metallic Eye Shadow in Pink Chandelier (warm pink with golden pearl)
> 1 Dual Ended Eye Liner/ Angle Eye Shadow Brush

I’m not a big fan of this palette, I think most of the colors are too neutral and appear slightly reddish or muddy on my eyelids. I also feel that the flecks of golden sparkle in Pink Chandelier are too large. It doesn’t mesh with the “barely there” theme of the other nude shades.

I like the way that the Praline/Chino/Stone combo looks on me, it’s very natural and blends well. Adding Cocoa Berry quickly makes this combo an easy night out look.

I like the angle eye shadow brush, but I haven’t used the eye liner end. I prefer Bobbi’s Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush.
You can buy this palette on their website or at Sephora $45

Redken’s Smooth Down Butter Treat works wonders for my hair. I have dry color treated hair. Mostly my ends are dry and my roots get oily rather quickly. I have used this product for over 4 years now and I keep coming back.

It is an ionic smoothing treatment that provides your hair with nourishment and helps you tame wild frizz. This means that it contains ions to help neutralize damaged hair. Damaged hair has an electic charge and these ions help stabilize hair follicles.

The Ionic Smoothing Complex is formulated with:

> Macadamia Oil to help nourish hair
> Candelilla Wax to help smooth hair
> Cationic Refiners to help fight frizz

This rinse out treatment gives your hair deep moisturization in as little as 5 minutes. Redken recommends you apply it to towel-dried hair after shampooing Comb it through hair and leave on for 5 to 15 minutes. Rinse out.

I prefer to use this as a replacement for my conditioner and I leave it in for about 10 mins. On anticipated bad hair days, I like to use it as a leave-in. I apply a small amount to my hair after I detangle it.

It comes in a 8.5 oz. bottle and you can find it at salons or at $14 – $17 depending where you go.

Essie nail polish orange, it’s obvious – Spring 2012 Collection

I wanted to try the Tangerine Tango trend on my nails today, so I decided to give orange, it’s obvious a try. It is a bold bright orange color. It’s a creamy formula which makes it easier to apply. This color also reminds me of Essie – Braziliant without the shimmer.

I also added a small twist to my mani, I applied Essie – geranium to my ring finger. Geranium is an award winning red-orange color. It was featured in Instlye Magazine as one of the most versatile colors you can get away with wearing all year round. It’s also a creamy formula.

Update: The shine lasted up to 3 days and my manicure was chip free for 5 days.

bareMinerals READY SPF 15 Touch Up Veil is a great new addition to the bareMinerals family. This is one of the very few SPF powders on the market. It comes in a slim compact which is perfect for your clutch or purse. The solid mineral formula is not as messy as the loose powder version. You have better control over the amount of product you pick up on your brush. A sponge applicator also comes included, but I rather apply it with a brush. I purchased it in tinted, and on my skin it looks translucent since I have a medium complexion.  If you have a fairer complexion, the tinted one will give you a very slight hint of color; but not as much as a bronzer.

I like the idea of touching up my makeup and my sunscreen, with this product I can do both at the same time. It’s great at minimizing midday shine and setting my foundation in the morning. It is available in Translucent and Tinted. $22
