Mojito Madness is described as a “fun loving, lime green”, but it feels more like a melon green to me. Whether lime or melon, it’s still a great funky color for summer. It is a thick creamy polish; just one coat will do, but I always recommend applying two. The formula is easy to work with and goes on evenly and smoothly, no streaks with this one. This bright and lively color is a great addition to your summer look, it makes for a super cute pedi!

Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Gloss in Citrus is a sheer neon orange. It’s a new shade that came out this spring. It’s bright orange in the tube, but goes on shiny and sheer. I enjoy wearing it alone and it also looks great over lipstick. My favorite combo is Citrus over Coral Pink Creamy Lip Color. The Citrus really plays up the coral color in Coral Pink making my lips look brighter. The applicator is nice and glides smoothly on my lips, this gloss has a light minty scent to it. I would have preferred a citrus scent to match its name, but that’s okay.
Merlot Skincare Grape Seed Moisturizer is a gentle moisturizer with the power of natural grape seed extract. The antioxidant properties found in grapes also known as polyphenols help revitalize skin and fight free radicals. The moisturizer is purple and has a light lovely scent. It feels like a thick gel, but goes on light and absorbs into your skin very quickly. It left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It’s formulated with SPF 15 and it is not oily. Great for any skin type, but especially great for those with sensitive oily skin.

Essie Olé Caliente is a red-orange with a hint of pink mixed in. The picture above appears more orange that what the color really is. I added a photo below taken with a flash, I feel that this photo is a better example of what the color looks like. There is more red in it. The formula is a creamy one, so it is an easier polish to apply. This is yet another color from Essie that fits in well with the tangerine tango trend. This shade is also like Essie Geranium because of the added red color.
What a difference the flash makes!

Tomato Sugar Face Scrub
Most skincare companies offer some sort of tool that cleanses your face. For example, the Neautrogena wave sonic and the Clarisonic, both clean your pores while making wrinkles and lines less noticeable. If you like those, then you will enjoy this all natural recipe because it works in the same way, but instead you get to use a tomato! I got this recipe from watching the Dr. Oz Show. I’m a fan of the show, he usually features good tips on weight loss and anti aging secrets.
Tomato Sugar Face Scrub
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
Cut tomato in half and dip it in the sugar. Next, rub your face with the tomato in a circular motion. Leave it on for ten minutes and then rinse.
Why it works: Tomatoes have lycopene in them, that’s what gives it its deep red color. Lycopene is an antioxidant that helps protects your skin from dangerous UV sun rays and it also prevents wrinkles by maintaining your skin’s elasticity. Sugar is also great for your skin because it’s a natural humectant. Humectants help retain moisture, so the sugar helps pull moisture into your skin and keep it there.

Dr. Jart Most Moist Water Fuse BB Cream is designed to protect your skin from the sun while masking your blemishes and maintaining your skin’s moisture level. This BB cream offers SPF 27 PA++ sun protection that fends off against both harmful UVA and UVB rays. Ocean water and glacier water help improve your skins hydration, making this bb cream 50% water. Hyalorunic acid and aloe vera also gives your skin the extra kick of moisture. Dr. Jart’s beauty balm is also formulated with porous powder which helps control oil and sweat. This extra ingredient helps your makeup stay in place.
This product sounds very promising for someone who suffers from dry skin. As for me on the other hand, I have combination skin so this product isn’t for me. It is fragrance free and feels nice on your skin, even though it’s kind of thick. It did little to cover the few sun spots I have on my cheeks, the base color was also a bit light for my tan complexion. After a few hours, I did have a small amount of shine on my forehead.

Color Club – Disco Nap is a metallic gold with a silvery finish. This polish is easy to apply and packs enough punch with just one coat. Disco Nap literally looks like liquid foil. The silver shines through more so than the gold. It is a very bright and loud color. It’s too shiny for me, it looks like I wrapped my nails in tin foil. This shade might look nice as an accent color, but the solid metallic look just isn’t for me.
This is by far one of the best drugstore brand foundations. It offers good medium to full coverage and stays put throughout the day. Revlon ColorStay comes in two different formulas; combination/oily skin and normal/dry skin. I use the combination/oily skin formula in Golden Caramel during the summer. Even though I apply SPF every day, I still get darker during the summer. Golden Caramel blends away seamlessly with my golden summer complexion. It gives my skin a natural finish, so I don’t look completely made-up during the summer. Like most liquid foundations, you will need to blot or powder you face to keep shine completely at bay. I love this product and I also enjoy their New Complexion Compact; however, I don’t know why the darker shades don’t contain SPF. Golden Caramel, Toast, Rich Ginger, Caramel, Cappuccino, Mahogany, and Mocha do not contain SPF. Darker skin tones are not immune to dangerous UV rays and skin cancer, protection from the sun is also needed here! I make sure to apply either a moisturizer or a primer that contains SPF underneath.
