Both Essie and Avon have juicy watermelon polishes. These polishes are so similar in color, perfect dupes!
Essie Watermelon is described as a “creamy refreshing red.” It’s a mix of red and pink with a super glossy formula.
Avon Nailwear Pro Watermelon is a new shade in the collection and just launched this summer. I’m a big fan of Nailwear Pro, the formula is great and manicures stay chip-free for up to 10 days. This shade is also a juicy mix of red and pink. This polish glides on smoothly and evenly, and it also very glossy.
The only slight difference is that Essie is a bit brighter than Avon.
Avon recently launched their new Avon Glow line inspired by summer sun beauty. The collection features an array of bronzers, glosses, and eye liners. I wanted to try out the collection so I ordered the Avon Glow Lip Gloss in Coral. It’s a sheer gloss with lots of shine. It’s not sticky and feels smooth on my lips. It’s formulated with SPF 15 to help protect your lips from the sun. I would have liked to see more color; it’s so sheer that I think all four shades probably look the same! It also has a hint of shimmer which is barely visible. I had higher hopes for Avon Glow!

Avon MagiX Face Perfector is a clear face primer. It helps control shine and minimizes pores and fine lines. It’s formulated with SPF 20 which is a huge plus for me. It is a gel-powder formula that smoothly glides onto your skin and leaves a light powder scent. It’s patent-pending Optix Light-Diffusing Technology offer invisible coverage by reflecting light to hide the look of pores.
I have been a devoted customer and I am on my third tube. I like how it gives me higher SPF than my foundation and how it just makes my skin smooth and even. It preps my skin so that my foundation goes on evenly and stays put for a longer time. Since I have combo skin, I sometimes opt for this instead of my moisturizer on hot summer days. It does not leave a white sheen on my skin like most SPFs do and I think that’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back to it.

Avon SuperSHOCK Eye Liner is their new gel liner. I decided to try Metallic Teal and Burnished Copper. The colors are pretty, but not as pigmented as I hoped they would be. It goes on faint and streaky. I had to really work with the product and pack it on to achieve my line. It doesn’t look too bad once you work hard at it, but I would prefer to spend the money and get the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner instead. With Bobbi’s one swipe and you’re done!
I did like using Burnished Copper as an eyeshadow. The color looks great with my skin tone and I can definitely play it up for summer. I applied it over my Urban Decay primer, for added staying power.
