I absolutely love, love, love Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel! It’s definitely one of my all-time cult favorites, but there is nothing more that I love than trying new things.
Estée Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Line/Wrinkle Hydrating Gel is the latest oil-free hydrating gel to hit the market. It’s very similar to Clinique’s moisturizing gel, but with a few added extras. It has anti-aging benefits such as their new Tri-HA Cell Signaling Complex. It’s their latest breakthrough in the hunt for the fountain of youth. Basically what it does is helps your cells communicate with each other to help boost the natural production of hyaluronic acid in your skin. Okay so enough of the fancy scientific stuff – I love the lightweight oi-free texture, it’s lightly scented and cool to the touch. The only added ingredient I wished it had was SPF, but it works as a perfect nigh time moisturizer for oil-skinned girls!

Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara is a great everyday mascara. It’s a volumizing and thickening mascara that makes your lashes look twice their size. What I like best about it is the tapered tip. The tapered tip lets you grab every single lash, so lashes looks full and separated. This mascara in black, is dark enough for just one coat, but for added oomph apply two coats. It doesn’t clump or flake off.
Clinique Chubby Stick is a tinted moisturizing lip balm. It’s formulated with mango and shea butter to help repair dry chapped lips. The big pencil shape makes it easy to apply and you never need to sharpen it. All you have to do is twist the bottom. The chubby sticks add a hint of subtle color with minimal shine. To add shine, finish with a clear gloss.
Mega Melon is a bronzy peachy pink with a slight shimmer. You really have to layer it on to get a deeper color. You use it by lining your lips first, then coloring them in. You could also just use it as a lip liner and pair it up with a lipstick. This lip balm is not sticky and leaves your lips feeling soft. It won’t last all day, but it has an average lasting power.
I just love Clinique’s new chubby stick commercial!
I love it when makeup and skin care merge together because this helps speeds up my morning routine! BB cream is the newest innovation to hit the beauty market, it’s originally from Korea and it’s finally made its way to the U.S.
I know you have seen the Garnier BB cream commercial by now, the one where the models keep saying “BB!” This commercial may have left you wondering, what exactly are they trying to sell me?
So, what is BB Cream?
“BB” stands for beauty balm or blemish balm. BB creams are the ultimate beauty multi-taskers. It was originally prescribed by dermatologists to help heal skin after laser treatments or surgeries. It works as a moisturizer/foundation/primer/concealer/sunscreen – it’s an all-in-one miracle worker. You can use these alone or underneath your favorite foundation.
A few companies have already launched their own versions:
The Too Faced Beauty Balm caught my eye, I plan to try it out this summer.
For those with oily or combination skin, this is a must have! The texture is so light and refreshing; it’s like giving your skin a fresh drink of water. It’s been my go to moisturizer for over 5 years now!
A common mistake that people with oily skin make is that they dry out their skin with toners and acne fighters, and then forget to moisturize. Striping our skin of natural oils only makes our bodies want to produce more so it can find its natural balance.
Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is scent free and oil free. It is available in a 4.2 pump bottle and it is also available in 1.7 oz tube which is a perfect trial size! $14-$25
