Happy Easter from The Beauty Edge!
Here’s my last minute DIY Easter Mani! I used Essie Love Every Minute as a base coat and layered one coat of Dior Princess over it. For my accent nail, I chose Dior Lime and Nicole by OPI Inner Sparkle for some added glitz.
In an effort to protect the Easter Bunny ;), I thought it would be cute to share a list of companies that do not test on animals. The full list can be found on Peta.org.
- Bare Escentuals
- Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare
- Everyday Minerals
- Physicians Formula
- Tarte Cosmetics
- Urban Decay

I know I’ve been posting a lot of nail polish reviews lately, but I just couldn’t end the week with out sharing my Easter nail art manicure
Deborah Lippmann’s Staccato polish in Rockin’ Robin is a must for Easter this year. The black glitter within the mint nail polish makes your nails look just like robin eggs – I’m really loving this effect!
I had to add a little bling to my ring fingers so I chose Essie Bond Over Whomever, from their Spring 2013 collection, as the base color. This Essie lacquer is a lovely pastel but yet vibrant lilac color.
Then my manicurist (I’m gonna start calling her my nail artist!) used pink, teal, and yellow nail art polish to make the lines and zigzags. She then sealed it with a layer of Nicole by OPI Inner Sparkle. The result – a gorgeous little glitter egg!
My list of favorite manicures just keeps getting bigger! Happy Easter!!
With Easter coming up this Sunday, I decided to get an Easter Egg inspired manicure. Originally I wanted to use Essie’s she’s picture perfect as my base color (it’s a nice lilac), but unfortunately my nail salon did not have that color. After a few other choices I finally picked China Glaze’s IV, a color from their X Collection. This polish is a creamy coral pink, it doesn’t have much shine and I’ll admit I’m not a big fan. I guess I’m upset I didn’t get the color I wanted. I thought about using Essie’s to buy or not to buy, but the lavender was too pale.
My nail tech, Blanca created the cute little Easter Egg design for me. She did it free hand and used nail art polish in yellow, purple and mint green. The design is what saved the manicure for me. I can’t wait until next week so I can finally use my Essie sure shot! Stay tuned for that review next week! Happy Easter Everyone!
